    Supramaximal effective light field

    Light field diameter 120-300mm is the width of light coverage on the surgical area. It is calculated using two standard reference points. This measurement shows how much surface the light effectively illuminates. A well-defined diameter gives uniform brightness across the field. Surgeons get consistent, shadow-less visibility throughout the procedure

    Curvv Delivers excellent Depth of Illumination Ec x 60% : 650 mm

    The vertical distance between the point of maximum intensity (Ec) of illumination at the centre of the illuminating field (one meter from the surface emission of light) & the detection of the value of 60% of central illumination in upward direction (L1) and downward direction (L2). These values added together (L1 + L2) gives the depth of illumination without the need to refocus. The higher level of illumination depth is very important especially in case of narrow and deep wound channel. With high light intensity and large spot size, 1200mm depth of field provides good lighting without having to refocus when the surgical wound location changes.

    Ensuring uniform light field stability

    In Constant Illumination Technology (CIT), the LED is driven in pulses of a particular duty cycle. Due to this, the LED is turned ON only for a limited period (ON period) and rests for the time it is turned OFF. This method allows the LED to cool down between two switch ON periods. This helps in extending the life of the LED.
